2022 Nissan Leaf: The New Cheapest Electric Car in the US

Nissan has been a pioneer in mass production of electric vehicles in the market with more than 500,000 Leaf EVs sold globally and approximately 5 billion EV miles driven worldwide for more than a decade.

For environmentally conscious and well-to do, electric cars are finally getting cheaper.

The 2022 Nissan Leaf is on sale now in the American market starting at MSRP of $27,400 (INR 20.31 lakh) for the Leaf S variant which is the entry-level model. 2022 Nissan Leaf is the new cheapest electric car in the US and could be half the prize of Tesla Model 3 due to hefty tax credit.

Features • 40 KWh lithium - ion battery. • 110 kW electric motor that delivers 147 HP and 236 lb-ft of torque and up to 149 miles (239 km) of range. • A CHAdeMO Quick Charge Port and portable 240-volt charging cable for every model. • 8 features which were previously featured in the Technology Packages for the SV PLUS grade, including ProPILOT Assist and Intelligent Around View Monitor, will now be standard in Nissan Leaf.
