This Mother-in-law and Daughter-in-law duo, used to make cakes for our family occasions. During lockdown they were flooded with orders from neighbour, friends and family. Q: How has COVID 19 pandemic and lockdown affected your business?

Answer: Our observation is that the pandemic and lockdown has been a blessing to our business. Today, clients prefer to order home-baked items instead from commercial bakeries and cafes simply because they trust our kitchen!

Q What is the scope of deserts and bakery business in a small town like Indore? Answer: Indore as a city is a unicorn for start-ups today. Forbes India also acknowledged the city's growth. Having said that, food and Indore are inseparable. In fact, Indore is known as a food capital, and Indories are mad for good taste and quality, so it has a tremendous scope. And that was the reason our business was able to scale up even in lockdown. Q. As a home-based micro business, what are the challenges you face? Answer: For any micro business, the base challenge is to fight the massive multinational competition.
