He was a brand manager of MS Dhoni, former Indian wicketkeeper Cricket Captain.
He runs #LetsTalkSports with Sid Deshmukh on his youtube channel @SportsySays, where he interviews athletes, business owners, coaches and administrators from the Indian and global sporting landscape.
How are you working on building Sports-as-a-Brand?
Investing in sports development and athletes development is the first step towards building sports as a brand. Focused on Sports Education, Sports Commerce, Sports Development, I am trying to make sports sustainable from the grassroots.
Tell us about your journey as a Sports Enthusiast and your contribution as a game-changer in the sports business?
Being a competitive athlete while growing, sports was part of my lifestyle. My heart screams sports. A hard-core athlete and having played competitive sports in early days mainly in Badminton, Swimming and Cricket, a first day's first show movie buff with a special liking for sci-fi and RomCom, always listening to country and Jazz music and always ready for any adventure sport with a special liking for Scuba Diving.
Tell us something about your talk show SporstySays
SportsySays is a sports education media platform with a one-of-a-kind talk show with various stakeholders of the Sports Industry, including athletes, managers, business owners and many more. We completed 50 episodes in our Season1. #LetsTalkSports series covers various mainstream and lesser known sports & stories of Indian & International Athletes and Sports Business Personnel. These conversations would enable a lot of opportunities for sports enablers.
We have launched Season 2, #LetsAIM Sports, with India's captain Mithali Raj. We have launched 41 episodes in Season2, making it a total of 91 episodes and soon reaching our 100th episode. We are working on Season 3, #LetsTalkSportsTech & Season 4 #JewelsofIndianSports in parallel. The platform is being created to make sports knowledge accessible and make sporting stories aspirational, inspirational, and motivational.
How does being an athlete help in the overall personality development of an individual?
Sports brings attitude and a focused approach on and off the field. Sport teaches discipline, decision making, compassion, gratitude and most importantly attitude. Sports help athletes become good human beings.
My objective is to combine my passion for business with my Career. I am trying to contribute to the sports ecosystem using my expertise. I took my corporate expertise towards the sports industry for bringing awareness, commercial and development mindset.
